Sandra Daniel’s work is driven by the printmaking techniques and processes.
In her monotypes, etchings, drypoints and multi-plate aquatints she spontaneously explores the endless possibilities of layering cut-out shapes against strongly juxtaposed colours.
These shapes originate from her personal interest in current and past social-cultural issues.
The result is work that is full of surprises and manifests itself as a celebration of formal values such as; line, colour, shape (negative & positive), texture, proportion and composition.
