An artist for more than 20 years, I have been working in glass for nearly 12 using a broad range of traditional hand cutting, leading and soldering techniques, merged with self-taught glass fusing techniques. I design and create intricate kiln-fused and leaded panels, windows, mirrors and tableware, turning otherwise functional items into unique art pieces. Wide-ranging sources, including nature, photography and art in its wider context inform my art practice. This fusion of ideas, glass-work techniques and other materials alongside glass ensures my creations are truly unique, yet fully functional for their intended task. Bespoke designs and commissions are an important part of my work, alongside more repeatable signature pieces. Throughout all, my art practice is informed by attention to detail alongside the constant need to improve my skills for the next challenge.
