Julie was born in Hertfordshire and now divides her time between her studios in St Albans and St Ives, in Cornwall. Her abstract paintings are derived from the external triggers of the Cornish landscape. With the counterpoints of land, ever changing sea and light, works have evolved from various starting points, adjusting the painting continually, assembling the rhythmic forms in a personal response.

Julie is a regular exhibitor at Bankside Gallery with the RWS and has exhibited in group shows at The Mall Galleries, Royal West of England Academy and The Crypt, St Ives. Julie is an Associate Member of The Royal Watercolour Society and Penwith Society of Arts.
