Bonker’s Clutterbucks are a husband (Peter) and wife (Kate) team who work from their studio in an Old Corn Warehouse, based in the Rossendale Valley who enjoy experimenting with a wide variety of mediums such as oil paint, collaging patterned paper, model making, up-cycling old wooden boxes and tins to create 3D scenes. They love incorporating found objects with integrity, that bare the marks of time, patinas that tells a story and themes include nostalgic notions of exploration and adventure, enchanted forests, fables, folklore and storytelling. Their worlds are inhabited by anthropomorphic animals in Regency dress, hares, crows and even the family’s terriers are captured in costume.
